After a strong showing in the previous My-NPL round in Kuantan, Pahang we managed to improve upon that performance and took 3rd place in round 4 My-NPL '10 held in PJ, Selangor. Our prelims draw were not easy to say the least as half of the teams are in the top 10 in rankings leading to round 4.
Loosing 2 out of a total of 8 games in prelims made us 2nd overall in points during the prelims that lead us to meet Feva Division in the sweet 16. We tied the race to 2 which forced us to battle it out in the one-on-one round. Our forward man Nick played the round exceptionally well beating Feva Division's player choice continuing our hopes to the Quarter Finals where we met Southern Legion. We caught them out with 2 straight wins advancing to the Semis with the notorious Shoot In Rage.
We drew the first game against SiR but lost the next two games not managing to counter their quick attack trough the flanks thus missing the spot into the finals. However that left us to salvage our chance to sneak into 3rd place past JS. Although JS won the first game we snatched the last 2 games away from them convincingly to hammer down the best result so far in TGC's 1st year in competition paintball.
The team would like to thank the crew for keeping our harnesses full and liquid intake sufficient, MPro marshals for making fair calls throughout all our games, the My-NPL organizers for running the best and toughest competition paintball league in the country so smoothly, our family and friends (players and non players alike) for the support, prayers and wishes.
We'll try our very best in the season grand finale this November in Malacca.
