Disappointment in MSL but the all important My-NPL season closer is just around the corner.

TGC participation in the 2010 Malaysian Super Light marks the anniversary of the team. From newbie to tournament paintball the team has made a lot of progress. But like any sport there is always the "win some, loose some" adage. Indeed it was disappointing for not making it to Sunday but the competition was fierce and although MSL being just a feeder event all teams went and gave their best to bring home the silverware.

Anyhow the team felt that there is something good from this and realised that the season finale of My-NPL will be the perfect stage to show that we are not a bunch of shake and bake paintballers. There are essential kinks that we discovered during MSL that kept us uncomfortable thus running up to the season finale of My-NPL we plan to iron it out and click better on field.

As for next season there are few management decisions that will be confirmed during the off season. Can't give any hints at the moment but rest assured that it is all for the betterment of the team.

Passing the Litmus Test: MPOC 2010 Finale

What supposed to be a test to gauge how would TGC muscle the MPOC format became a pretty gratifying affair. The team expected to do well but not to the point it was do or die. Afterall it is all in preparation to commit for the MPOC 2011 season. After loosing only 2 prelim games out of 10 and topped the Div 3 prelim table, most of us dare not celebrate. In fact we were wondering if did the organizers got the scores right.

Slowly we progressed to the Quarter final group stage which we top the group again with 2 wins out of 3 games. Soldiering forward to the semis we were beat as Hammer Zero (MPOC Div 3 Champions) pummelled us 2 games in a row in the best of 3 format. Somehow we collected ourselves and pushed to 110% to deny 3rd place from ZOO winning 2 sets in quick successions.

Another podium finish when we Don't do more, Don't do less, We just did our jobs.
